All of our puppies are guaranteed to be in good health and free from visible signs of infection, contagious or communicable diseases when purchased. We guarantee the puppy to be free from any LIFE-THREATENING defects for 1 year from the date of birth. A licensed veterinarian must examine the puppy within 72 hours of delivery. If there is a problem with the health of the puppy, our veterinarian will interpret the report and if he concurs, then a replacement puppy will be given. There will be NO CASH OR CREDIT refunds. We offer replacement puppies only at the same value of what you had. If the puppy you want is more then you have to pay the difference. If you fail to have your puppy checked by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of delivery, we the seller, assume no further responsibility. If puppy is transferred, sold, given to another party, this guarantee is void. We must be notified at once at the onset of any LIFE THREATENING problem, in writing, with a report from your veterinarian.(within 24 hours) If the puppy is proved to have a LIFE THREATENING congenital defect within 1 year and is returned to us, all shipping charges are the responsibility of the purchaser. If this occurs, you must return said puppy to Dejah Bleu's English Bulldogs and an exchange puppy will be provided. (on the next available puppy) No cash returns will be given. Puppy must be returned in the same condition in which it was received and all paperwork must be returned, including the AKC registration, signed back to Dejah Bleu's English Bulldogs before an exchange is given. No exchange will be given if the puppy has been spayed or neutered. If you choose to keep said puppy, you will not be offered another puppy. All vet charges incurred by the purchaser are the sole responsibility of the purchaser and will under no circumstances be paid by us. If any minor breed related, treatable or correctable conditions arise, such as cherry eye, eyelid surgery (upper and lower), elongated palate, inverted tail, respiratory, or skin allergies, these are not covered by Dejah Bleu's English Bulldogs. Hip, elbow and knee dysplasia can be a result of environmental problems such as lack of proper nutrition, exercise, floor surface, being allowed to jump down or falling off tall surfaces or rough housing with other pets or humans. Due to this, Dejah Bleu's English Bulldogs cannot guarantee hip, elbow or knee dysplasia beyond the initial health check. In addition, Dejah Bleu's English Bulldogs does not guarantee Demodex localized or generalized (mange). Our puppies are sold as PET QUALITY puppies. We do not guarantee your puppy to be able to sire or whelp puppies. Nor guarantee that will be able to show Please research the breed related problems before purchasing a bulldog puppy. Efforts are made that none of these things will ever affect said puppy, but due to the nature of the bulldog breed, one or more of these problems could occur. Please do not take your puppy into public places unless absolutely necessary, until the puppy has had all its vaccinations (as recommended by your veterinarian) to insure immunity against disease. We know that you and your new puppy will spend many fun filled years together If for some reason you are no longer able to keep him/her, Dejah Bleu Kennels is to be notified First and offer puppy back before placing with someone else. We don't place our dogs lightly. Under NO circumstances shall buyer EVER change the registered name of said puppy. Under NO circumstances shall buyer change the registry of said puppy, it shall remain registered ONLY with the AKC. The name Dejah Bleu's will proceed before the buyers chosen name, and shall NOT be changed for any reason. Under no circumstances can any buyer get a Dejah Bleu Puppy and turn around to resale it for a profit We are not scammer and expect not to be scammed. All deposits are non refundable. If a deposit is paid on a puppy and the final payment is not received by the due date, and prior written arrangements have not been made, Seller has the right to keep Buyer’s deposit and sale said puppy to another party. Shipping If you live too far away to personally pick up your puppy, and prefer to drive and meet us, we can meet you half way by car (no more than a 4 hour drive for us in one direction) for a fee of $150. If you prefer shipping, we can ship the puppy to your nearest major airport. All shipping charges are paid by the buyer. We charge a flat fee of $350 for shipping. From May to September, the price may range as high as $400 to farther airports to VIP your puppy. Our flat rate fee includes the shipping kennel and USDA Veterinarian Health Certificate prior to shipping. We use Continental Airline's Or Delta Airlines PetSafe program to ship our puppies. Only major airports that support live animal shipments are accepted for transport. We will not ship where originating and connecting airport temperatures exceed 70 degrees Fahrenheit at times of departure, therefore, shipments can only be done early in the morning when this case applies. During the warmer climates we reserve the right to ship at a schedule that permits us to ship the puppy. Dejah Bleu's English Bulldogs will be responsible for putting your puppy on the air flight. Once the puppy is released to the airlines, Dejah Bleu's English Bulldogs will no longer be responsible for your puppy. This means that ownership of the puppy passes to the Buyer when the puppy is shipped or leaves the care of Dejah Bleu's English Bulldogs. If there is a problem with shipping, Dejah Bleu will do what we can to help, but it is the Buyer's responsibility to deal with the airline to resolve any shipping issues of said puppy. We ask that once the said puppy arrives, that the Buyer contact Dejah Bleu to acknowledge that the puppy has arrived safely. Full AKC registration rights are given to Buyer unless otherwise noted. This can be due to the fact that bulldogs have big round eyes that water, entropian (explained below), or the lashes will irritate the eye off and on. To help reduce the stains, clean the face daily. Cherry Eye: This is the gland from the third eyelid that protrudes in the corner of the eye. It can be repaired by your veterinarian. It is not major surgery, but you need a veterinarian familiar with the bulldog breed. Entropian: This is where the eyelashes have turned inwards and are rubbing on the eyes, causing them to water more than normal. Sometimes it could just be a couple of lashes causing the problem, or all of them. This is also a simple procedure to correct. It should be corrected. If not, it could cause scratches on the cornea leading to more expensive eye problems. Elongated Soft Palate: All bulldogs have this due to their short facial structure (brachycephalic). In most cases it causes nothing more than snoring, but in severe cases it can cause breathing difficulties, especially during exercise and overheating. This can be corrected surgically. Demodex (mange): There are two forms of demodex, localized and generalized. The localized form is usually just a lull in the dog’s immune system and is seen as a few patches on the front legs, chest and head. This is resolvable and should pose no long-term problem for the dog. Our health guarantee does not cover the localized form demodex. The generalized for of demodex is a different story. It is definitely an inherited immune deficiency and can cause death or long-term health problems for your dog. Dogs with generalized demodex will have patches on their legs and head but also on their torso. They should be treated immediately by a veterinarian and should not be used for breeding. Our genetic health guarantee does not cover the generalized form of demodex, since it is a genetic immune system problem. Yeast Build Up: Bulldogs can get yeast in the wrinkles on their face, feet, and base of tail, etc. These areas need to be cleaned at least every other day. Overheating: Bulldogs are extremely prone to overheating. Many bulldogs die each year due to heat. They must never be left outside in temperatures above 70 degrees, in a car, or in a non-air conditioned house during the summer. Be aware of the temperatures in your area! | Head tremors: Rather like a fit, but effecting just the head, which will involuntary shake from side to side, sometimes violently enough to cause their lips to flap about. We have always found them to be linked to stress which may cause the blood sugar level to drop enough to trigger the head shake. Giving some glucose or runny honey to bring the blood sugar level back up should help although distraction often stops the shaking. If you are unable to link the attack to a specific stressful incident then your bulldog may be suffering in some way and it is advisable that you get your vet to check him over. Note, many vets are unfamiliar with this breed specific condition and some breeders attribute them to a lack of calcium as they are common in the pregnant or nursing bitch. However please do not give calcium under normal circumstances as this could effect the bone formation of your puppy, |
